Arianne Anderson, MA

Licensed Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy

Arianne holds a master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego.  She is a resident in MFT through Virginia’s board of counseling, and is supervised by Patricia Contreras, PsyD, LMFT and Megan Barone, PsyD.

Arianne has experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She is a trained Dialectical Behavioral Therapist, and has extensive experience working with individuals in crisis. She also has experience treating clients with eating disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders. Additionally, Arianne spent three years working on a research study aimed at building resiliency for military families post deployment; and as a Navy veteran and mother of two, she has a passion for working with military and veteran families.

Arianne’s therapeutic approach draws from evidence-based practices like dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) while integrating interventions that promote insight and facilitate growth and transformation.
